Somundy Century manufactures their own frame, so they can be tailored to suit your needs. The average weight of a preboarded
frame is only 200kg, which does not compromise the durability of the Modular. The sections are manufactured from steel which is 80% recycled and 100% recyclable. The building environment
has a life expectancy in excess of 60 years according to the report "Durability of Light Steel Framing".

All of our design is carried out with future maintenance in mind. All architectural, M & E, Structural, acoustic and fire details are assessed and incorporated into our design. Working jointly with the client’s professional team we will advise on sound attenuation and fire properties between modulars should they be in a back-to-back situation. The general floor depth of the modular is 90mm from underside to finished surface and average weight is just over 1 Ton. The overall dimensions usually determine the weight of the modular although the frame itself is usually only 50% of the weight of the steel frame and as low as 10% of a concrete modular, without compromising durability. This can lead to massive savings in the depth of the main floor structure
